Alice Hill originally from the United Kingdom is a glassblower by profession. She studied Art Design for two years at Farnham Art College in Surrey, United Kingdom, before deciding to pursue a degree in three-dimensional design specialising in glass.

In an exciting new venture, next Thursday will see the opening of the inaugural “Loma ni Vale”, Fiji’s first Design, Decor and Interior Art exhibition. Staged at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva, the exhibition is open to the public from Friday 11th – Tuesday 15 December and is free to enter.
Inside Alice Hill’s annealing oven, glass designs take their turn cooling down. Before they ended up there, they are first carefully blown from molten glass removed from a crucible where the heat goes up to a daunting 1100-degrees centigrade.
