The mottled colours of a turtles shell have always been treasured. In past times, Hawksbill turtles were the main source of ‘tortoiseshell’ for jewellery and ornaments.

Happily, turtles are now protected in Fiji and it is illegal to trade in turtle shell. Equally happily, the beautiful burnished layers of brown and amber are reflected in our Turtleshell range.
