Every now and again we like to get out of the studio and do a bit of beachcombing.
Last week was a mission to collect a piece of driftwood which we have had our eye on for a while.
Laisa made sure it was OK for us to take the wood, then we had the job of loading it into the truck…. A lot of fun, thank goodness for Peter, Ziggy and Laisa’s Fijian strength!
These were the amazing pieces of wood we have to create some glass sculptures and lamps with.
Here is a piece I made a while ago with lovely weathered driftwood found down the coast.
Another example of how we use drift wood with our lamps. This piece was inspired by the water washing over the driftwood at the Sigatoka Sand Dunes.
All our drift wood sculptures and lamps can be treated for export. Once treated they are given a certificate, packaged and sent via Fiji Parcel Post.
