Born from Fire – The art of glass and metal was officially opened by our Chief Guest, Hon Faiyaz Koya Minister for MITT, last night at the Grand Pacific Hotel, Suva.

Chief Guest, Hon Faiyaz Koya, officially opening our event #bornfromfire – The Art of Glass and Metal. The exhibition will be open to public from Oct 19th – Oct 28th 2017

The opening was attended by over 150 people.

The exhibition showcases the artistic talents and collaborative works of Mr Shane Bower and Mrs Alice Hill who are two of Fiji’s most sought after contemporary three dimensional artists.

While launching the Born from Fire exhibition, the Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism the Honourable Faiyaz Koya commended both Shane and Alice, saying “They have expertly curated the exhibition that reflects and celebrates the beauty of the country.”

He continued “They have both certainly raised the profile of world class artwork, especially 3 Dimensional Art made in Fiji.”

It took the two artists about six months to work on the collaborative pieces, which are on display for the first time.

The exhibition will be open to public from Oct 19th – Oct 28th 2017. Admission is free of charge.
